WELCOME TO OTAMA MARERE TRUST
Otama Marere Trust manages and cares for the Otama Marere whenua in Paengaroa on behalf of its owners and beneficiaries. The Trust works to protect and develop the land in a way that honors the history of the whenua while creating opportunities for current and future generations of whanau.
Our whenua includes productive horticulture, with kiwifruit and avocado orchards and other land-based activities that help grow the assets of the Trust. Alongside this, we are committed to caring for the natural environment through projects such as native planting and wetland restoration.
The Trust also supports its owners and beneficiaries through initiatives such as education grants for tauira and kaumātua grants to support our elders. In addition to our land-based activities, the Trust also manages investment properties, including properties such as 4 Brook Street, which help strengthen the financial future of the Trust.
Through careful management and a focus on kaitiakitanga, Otama Marere Trust aims to ensure the whenua and its assets continue to provide for our people while being protected for generations to come.
